Kelsey Weir Johnson, Partner at Weir Johnson, PLLC, represents companies and individuals in commercial litigation and all types of intellectual property litigation, including enforcing an owner’s copyright and trademark rights. While she has extensive experience in both federal and state court, Ms. Johnson strives to resolve disputes through settlement when possible.

Ms. Johnson has expertise prosecuting and defending commercial claims for fraud, false advertising, unfair competition, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duties. She also focuses on intellectual property claims for patent infringement, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, trade secrets, and violations of the Lanham Act. Previously, Ms. Johnson was second chair on a trial team which obtained a complete defense victory in federal court where the plaintiff sought in excess of $40 million in damages related to a medical device.

Ms. Johnson also focuses heavily on copyright and trademark enforcement matters. She especially enjoys the investigation and prosecution of allegations of copyright infringement in the software industry. In addition to working toward the successful resolution of such matters, she advises copyright and trademark owners on setting up efficient enforcement programs in order to properly protect their valuable intellectual property assets and prides herself on delivering results.

After previously practicing at large international law firms, Ms. Johnson focused her practice to allow her to address challenges and special considerations for both small and large clients in a more personal setting.
