Remy M. Davis, Partner at Weir Johnson, PLLC, is an intellectual-property attorney focusing on trademark, copyright, trade secret and licensing matters. She advises clients on all matters related to intellectual-property transactions, including domestic and international trademark portfolio selection, protection, prosecution and enforcement; Trademark Trial Appeal Board proceedings; technology development and licensing agreements, website agreements, including terms of use and privacy policies; Uniform Domain-Name Resolution Policy proceedings; and copyright protection and registration.

Ms. Davis focuses heavily on trademark and copyright protection and enforcement, and has represented major companies across many industries, including the jewelry, non-profit, nutritional supplements, and real estate sectors, managing large domestic and international portfolios. Ms. Davis also has experience in the enforcement of copyrights in the software industry.

Ms. Davis has practiced extensively before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Ms. Davis’s recent successful appeal to the TTAB of a refusal by an Examiner to register a client’s mark based on the specimen submitted by a colleague was re-designated as precedential and is, in fact, now included in the Examination Guide for Service Mark Specimens.

Ms. Davis began her career at a large national firm before choosing to focus her practice to give both small and large clients the benefit of her extensive training in a more personalized setting. Ms. Davis earned her J.D., cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in History and Political Science from Southern Methodist University in 2003.
